Hi! My name is Marion. Thank you for visiting my blog! I am writing about Japanese culture, art and literature. I was living in Japan for some years and travelled through the country many times since 1988. Apart from my living and travel experiences in Japan I hold a doctor’s degree in Japanese Studies. Currently I work as a freelance writer and translator of Japanese to German and English in Berlin.
All articles are written by myself. This is a non-commercial blog and it is aimed to present my view of this beautiful and interesting culture and share it with you. Enjoy!

Hi, Marion.
So glad to have found you. I love Japanese culture and plan to check on it regularly. Have finished reading The Makioka Sisters (see comment in your review) and would appreciate your recommendation on the japanese author we should read next.
Hi Zulma Rivera, thank you very much. I am happy, that you like to read Japanese literature. I made a reading list of my favorite Japanese books here on the blog, which is of course just a selection. Maybe you find something you like. My next book review will be on Mishima Yukio. At the moment I am very busy, therefore I can read not so much. I wish you a nice day in San Juan.
We share mutual interests: I manage three blogs about japanese culture, and one of these is http://www.ukiyo-e.it , check it out!
