Art on Tuesday: Night Snow

Night Snow. This ukiyo e is made by Itô Shinsui (1898-1972) in 1923, a woodblock print. The woman is obviously feeling cold, holding her fingers to her mouth covering part of her face.
The picture is showing an interesting multi-layered structure. Structure of the umbrella from the inner side, structure of the collar, a black on black overcoat and the overall structure of the snowflakes.
